Arrive in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province and gateway to the Hexi Corridor. Transfer to your hotel. Evening walk along the Yellow River waterfront and visit the iconic Iron Bridge.

Lanzhou β Zhangye (High-speed train)
Morning high-speed train to Zhangye (approx. 3 hours). Afternoon visit to the Zhangye Danxia Landform β the famous rainbow-colored rock formations, best photographed in late afternoon light. These stunning geological layers create a natural canvas of red, orange, and yellow hues.

Morning visit to the Giant Buddha Temple, home to China's largest reclining Buddha. Drive to Jiayuguan (2.5 hours). Afternoon at the Jiayuguan Fortress β the mighty western gate of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, standing alone against the vast Gobi Desert.
