Best Time to Visit

🌸

Spring (Mar-May)

Mild temperatures (10-25°C), blooming flowers, and clear skies make this the most pleasant season. April is ideal with cherry blossoms in Yuyuantan Park. Occasional sandstorms possible in March.

🌞

Autumn (Sep-Nov)

Golden season with crisp air, comfortable temperatures, and brilliant fall foliage at the Summer Palace and Fragrant Hills. October holidays bring crowds — book well in advance.

Summer (Jun-Aug)

Hot and humid (30-38°C) with occasional rain. July-August can be crowded with domestic tourism. Early mornings are best for sightseeing. Great time for Great Wall with lush green scenery.

Winter (Dec-Feb)

Cold and dry (-5 to 5°C) but fewer tourists and lower prices. The Forbidden City under snow is magical. Ice skating on Houhai Lake and Harbin-style ice festivals nearby. Excellent deals on hotels and flights.
